Why tabless cells?
Standard cells route current through a thin tab welded to the can — a bottleneck that adds resistance and heats up under high current draw. Tabless cells connect directly across the full face of the electrode, giving a shorter, lower-resistance path for current to flow. That means less voltage sag and less heat exactly when you're pulling hard.
Why laser welding instead of spot welding?
Laser welding produces a fully fused, low-resistance joint at every connection point — no reliance on mechanical pressure or current pulses that can vary from joint to joint like spot welding. Lower joint resistance means less heat generated under load and less voltage sag when you're pulling hard, so the power you expect at full throttle is the power you actually get.
What cell vendor do you use?
Our packs are currently built on tabless 21700 cylindrical cells from Reliance, a battery cell manufacturer specializing in high-performance cells. Every cell is tested for capacity and IR before it goes into a pack, so you're not just getting a good cell — you're getting a matched set.
When will I get my order?
We will work quickly to ship your order as soon as possible. Once your order has shipped, you will receive an email with further information. Delivery times vary depending on your location.
Where are your products manufactured?
Our batteries are designed and assembled entirely in-house at our Bay Area facility, where we control every step — cell grading, laser welding, and final testing — instead of handing production off to a third party. That means the pack you fly is built to the same spec every time.
